I remembering learning to draw celtic knots as a child, using a really simple grid method. Allthough the memory stayed with me, the method unfortunately didn't. But I rediscovered it recently, thanks to David Nicholls on YouTube.
I'm pretty sure this is far as I ever got as a child, but David's tutorials helped me get further this time.
Although I love to look at Celtic knot art, making it can get a bit tedious! The last image is me moving on to David's "Space Filling Patterns" tutorial, which is the old school way to say doodling ideas. I particularly like the tulip pattern.
