I've just discovered watercolour. It might have changed my life! I started out with gouache tubes, which I also love, then watercolour markers, and now I'm using Winsor & Newton's watercolour pencils. Here's a video I made of me trying out the pencils for the first time.
Looks like I've improved a bit from my first sketchbook experiments with watercolour markers. Although, the more I learn about watercolour, the more I'm realising that the paper you use is really important. This is just thin sketching paper:
